What a tragedy this had to happen to two of our nation's finest. Today I was in the US Capitol and spoke with some of the officers who were all so polite and professional. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on Apwhile serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 12th anniversary of your death. God Bless you and your family, and Rest in Peace. You will always be remembered for your kindness and dedication to America. Several months later you died in defense of your country. For several days you and your colleagues joyfully entertained us with your kindness, and even told my aunt you would give us a tour of the Capitol when we came to Washington.
